Pengaruh Perilaku Berkendara Sepeda Motor Tidak Menggunakan Helm di Kabupaten Sumenep

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab terbesar kematian di dunia adalah kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas. Perilaku berkendara berisiko memiliki sumbangsih besar terhadap kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas. Banyak faktor pengaruh, baik internal ataupun eksternal, yang telah diteliti seperti karakter individu, faktor psikologi, dan kondisi lingkungan binaan. Akan tetapi mengaitkannya faktor penegakan hukum masih sedikit dilakukan, terlebih dengan pemanfaatan teknologi, sedangkan hal tersebut berimplikasi pada perilaku pengendara sepeda motor. Kabupaten Sumenep memiliki persentase perilaku berkendara berisiko, khususnya tidak menggunakan helm, tertinggi ketiga di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap perilaku berkendara berisiko sepeda motor tidak menggunakan helm, khususnya di Perkotaan Sumenep yang meliputi Kecamatan Kota Sumenep dan Kecamatan Kalianget. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis structural equation modelling berbasis partial least square dengan alat SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa perilaku berkendara berisiko di Kabupaten Sumenep dipengaruhi langsung oleh demografi, karakter pengendara, perceived behavioral control, karakteristik jalan, dan keberadaan electronic traffic law enforcement apabila diterapkan. Ragam pengaruh pengendara melakukan perilaku berkendara berisiko ini memberikan alternatif strategi penyelesaian yang saling mendukung.
